There was a small surprise when first ranked SlovenianCedevita Ol. (10-2) rolled over their close opponent Serbian Spartak (6-6) in Ljubljana 86-65 on Saturday. Cedevita Ol. shot 63.6 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Cedevita Ol. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Umoja Gibson nailed 30 points and 5 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American DJ Stewart Jr (197-1999, college: MSU) accounted for 10 points and 6 rebounds. Bosnian-Serbian forward Dalibor Ilic (202-2000, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with 12 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Javontae Hawkins (196-1993, college: Fordham) added 15 points respectively for Spartak in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Slovenian champion maintains first place with 10-2 record which they share with defeated Spartak . Loser Spartak still keeps top position with six games lost.
